Friends of Kimball Library Book Donations
We continue to accept donations of gently used books for re-sale, to benefit and support some of the Library's special programs. The curated books are available for purchase at the specifically designated bookcase at Kimball Library, as well as at the Wee Bird Bagel Café on Pleasant Street. Please follow us on our Facebook page for special events, including occasional pop-up book sales.
To donate books:
A Friend is in the Young Adult section of the Library (downstairs, side door) on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10am to noon to accept book donations. Please see https://kimballlibrary.org/friends-of-the-library for guidelines for donations.
There are still opportunities to donate books at the Wee Bird Bagel Café on Monday afternoons, 2:30 – 3:15.

Help Float Our Boat Launch Party
The Help Float Our Boat Launch Party is a community fundraising event at GMCF to support Cady and her rowing teammates at Team Rising Tide as they work toward the start line of the 2027 World's Toughest Row across the Atlantic Ocean. The larger goal is to use the journey and the attention it generates to raise awareness and support for the A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund, which expands access and opportunity through rowing.
Join us for an interactive group experience that includes themed zones to explore, Q&A with Cady, a special screening of the documentary A Most Beautiful Thing, raffle, and silent auction!

The All Night ROWdown is a 12-hour team rowing and fundraising challenge at Green Mountain Community Fitness (+ online) from 8 pm November 21 to 8 am November 22, 2026. This one-of-a-kind, overnight competition is part of the Help Float Our Boat Launch Party, an interactive fundraising event to support GMCF owner Cady Hart-Petterssen and her teammates at Team Rising Tide on their journey to the starting line of the 2027 World's Toughest Row across the Atlantic. (That's right—Cady's planning to row the Atlantic!)
Join us for a one-of-a-kind competition. You don't need to be an experienced rower—come to compete. Come to fundraise. Come to challenge yourself. Come dressed ridiculously. Just bring three people willing to take on something hard together.
