The raffle drawing for a stunning bronze whale tail sculpture by renowned artist Jim Sardonis will take place this Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Chandler Center for the Arts. Raffle tickets are still available for purchase leading up to the drawing. Sardonis, a Randolph resident, has graciously donated the sculpture to the volunteer-run Chandler Gallery committee to help fund future renovations. Sardonis's "Sounding" is an impressive bronze sculpture mounted on Verde Antique marble sourced from Rochester, Vermont, measuring 14" x 24" x 12". Jim Sardonis is celebrated for his monumental sculptures, including the famous "Whale Dance" and "Reverence" pieces, which are among the most photographed landmarks in Vermont. His works are prized by collectors and can be found in private collections and public spaces throughout New England and beyond. The drawing will be held at Chandler Center for the Arts on Sunday, December 21, 2025 during the High Drive Holiday concert at 2PM in the Esther Mesh Room. Presence not necessary to win.
