Free Film Screening: the Inquisitor
Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30pm, join us downstairs at Kimball Library in the YA room, which will be transformed into your theater for the evening! Complete with popcorn, candy, and mood lighting, you can explore the life and legacy of Barbara Jordan in The Inquisitor.
Jordan was a groundbreaking Texas congresswoman whose sharp intellect and moral clarity transformed U.S. politics. From Nixon's impeachment to civil rights battles, her voice demanded accountability, while she privately faced struggles few ever knew of.
Stay afterwards to connect with your neighbors and take a moment to reflect on the documentary.
We are so thankful to Indie Lens Pop-Up for providing the film for a free screening. The movie premiered February 23rd, so this is a recent and relevant documentary. This is the second of a four-part spring series. On March 3rd we screened The Librarians which is available on PBS now.
Like to knit or work on another handicraft while you watch? Back of house lighting has got you covered.
Hope to see you there!
