Silent Art Auction Fundraiser - RUHS Coral Restoration

Friday, May 29, 2026 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm05/29/2026 10:00pm Silent Art Auction Fundraiser - RUHS Coral Restoration Please join us for an evening of Philanthropy, Local Art, and Good Vibes to support seventeen RUHS students! They are raising funds to get scuba certified so that they can live on a boat, where they will dive 4x per day/night, cleaning and planting coral reefs for a seven days in the Bahamas! Tons of local artists works from pottery, knitting, greeting cards, weaving, drawings, woodworking, paintings, photographs, art baskets, and more! Food and beverages available by donation. The students have been working hard, engaging their community, to raise the funds they need to do this important work to prevent the extinction of one of the world's most valuable natural resources - the coral reefs. These small, but mighty, organisms only take up space in 1% of the ocean yet they support 25% of all marine life. They protect coastal communities from storm surges by reducing wave energy by up to 97%. Coral reefs are vital for the economy, providing food, tourism revenue, and income for over 500 million people worldwide. Organisms within coral reef ecosystems are used in developing new medicines. Astonishingly, contribute $3B domestically and $10T globally to the economy, making their endangered status that much more urgent. Please come to support our hard working students!
