Come early for a free music workshop at 4:30 and potluck at 6 PM Just announced: mother Natalie MacMaster will be joining onstage as a special guest! Mary Frances has taken her family's signature Celtic Cape Breton Fiddle music, and now she's blending those roots with the vibrant influences of jazz and Latin music to create an electrifying new sound, showcased on her debut album of original compositions and shared with us this coming Saturday at Chandler. A gifted fiddler, pianist, and step dancer, Mary Frances began performing at the age of five and quickly made her mark with standout appearances: performances with Yo-Yo Ma, guest spots on Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey, and international TV appearances in Germany and Cape Breton. Her compositions "Choo Choo" and "Colour Theory" are featured on her parents' acclaimed release CANVAS, and she recently won a Cape Breton Tourism music contest for her hauntingly beautiful track "First Light." Pre-Concert Activities Free workshop for musicians, 4:30-5:30 PM: Mary Frances will lead a free fiddlers' workshop, open to musicians of all ages and skill levels. The session will focus on Celtic fiddle techniques and improvisational skills.
