Special Service, Called by Hope

Sunday, January 14, 2024 - 12:00am to 1:00pm01/14/2024 5:00am Special Service, Called by Hope Come Explore What it Means to be a Just Peace Church on Sunday, January 14 About six months ago, Bethany's Peace and Justice Committee began exploring what it means to become a "Just Peace" Church." It is our hope that learning about and committing to becoming a Just Peace Church will help us to more fully serve our neighbors, to bring healing and peace where we can, and to work with others to create a more just and caring society. Our exploration continues this Sunday, January 14, when we will welcome the Reverend Campbell Lovett to Bethany Church. Campbell is a member of the national steering committee for promoting "Just Peace" churches in the United Church of Christ and brings decades of experience in churches and organizations that promote and encourage efforts for justice and peace. Please join us on Sunday to learn about this exciting new endeavor. The day will begin with worship at 10:00, with Campbell preaching, followed by a soup and bread lunch to continue our conversation. We encourage you to join us in person if you can. The worship service and conversation are also available via the zoom link below. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89202414421?pwd=dithN1lzOXlIbnZiejNFcmw3VHdTQT09 Come to learn more and to take your place among others who strive to be creators of justice and joy!
