Handel's "Water Music" and more in the unparalleled acoustics of Chandler's Music Hall. At this extraordinary concert featuring the music of Handel, the Upper Valley Baroque (UVB) Orchestra will be led by dynamic Artistic Director Filippo Ciabatti, who has been making his mark on the regional music scene and throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to the beloved "Water Music", well-regarded local soprano Mary Bonhag will offer dramatic arias from Handel operas, songs of love and delight. The February 10th orchestra will feature world-renowned instrumentalists, including recording artist Susanna Ogata on violin, Juilliard professor Phoebe Carrai on cello, and principal horn player for the Haydn & Handel Society (Boston) Todd Williams on natural horn. The virtuosity and musicality of UVB orchestra members, playing on period instruments, is truly world-class.
